IASP ALUMNUS PRESENTS PRIZE WINNING FILM AT THE AMERICAN CORNER YAFFO:

Sameh Zoabi, an alumnus of the Israeli-Arab Scholarship Program ("IASP"), presented his prize winning film “Be Quiet” at the American Corner Yaffo to an audience of high school students and film experts. “Be Quiet” is the story of a young boy and his father on their journey home to Nazareth. What should be a simple car trip is beset by politically charged tension and a militarized reality — each serves as a foil to intensify the struggle of a complacent father raising a strong willed son.  The theme deals with the current Israeli/Palestinian conflict through a child’s perspective, illustrating how an emotional environment affects a child’s upbringing and coming of age.
